Everyone who has something to sell naturally wants to get the  highest and best price possible for what they have to sell. However, all too often sellers approach arriving at a selling price without having taken the best steps forward to arrive at a quick, efficient, highest, best price, selling figure.

SESY can assist you in that analysis and it will not cost you anything, whether you list with us or not. We use many of the same tools we use to establish trade-in values.  Some of the sources we use are BUC, NADA, Multi-Listed asking prices, soldboats.com, (a broker only web site) and our data-base of sold yachts.

Once we supply you with our suggested selling price range, you can sit back and think about whether you are willing to accept that value. Listing, or trying to sell an over-priced item, really just frustrates everyone.  Some brokers will accept over-priced listings simply to add another listing to their inventory, even though they know it is unlikely that they can sell your boat for that price. 

It is our goal at SESY to provide you with an educated, knowledgeable, suggested selling price, that we honestly believe you can expect your boat to sell for in a reasonable amount of time.  We will give you an honest, realistic, suggested selling price.  Of course, the final asking price is always up to you!

SESY believes in a full court press when it comes to internet marketing of your boat.  The vast majority of boat buyers extensively search the internet in their quest for the right boat at the right price.  (Remember they are looking for lowest price possible for the best boat possible, just like you are looking for the highest price possible for your boat! (Ah….the challenges in life!)

We have arranged with several area Bed and Breakfasts for our guests to have lodging discounts when visiting our dealership and staying overnight.

SESY EVENTS!

We stage about ten or eleven events here at our dealership throughout the year.  These events are enjoyed by many buyers and in the past have included:

Bahama Bound    Discover Sailing   Cooking Aboard   Captain’s Sale   VIP Progressive Cocktails and Hors d'oeuvres aboard our Yachts”, Hot Diggity Dog Sundays, Grand Opening and Open Houses, Pre and Post Boat Show Events.  In the future we plan to sponsor many of the successful events again, as well as new shows such as Pet’s Aboard, Racing, and Cruising around the World.

PHOTOGRAPHS

Yes, here goes the old saying….PICTURES SAY A THOUSAND WORDS….We will gladly photograph your boat for you and if you are in an area where we cannot get good photos, we will work with you to locate someone who has the ability to take good photos, or you are welcome to supply your own photos.  This is typically the first opportunity a buyer will have to see what you have for sale….and it is usually the first thing they look at!

VIDEO

Video of your boat has proven to enhance the ads for your boat and increase boat sales.  For a fee of whatever the videographer charges us, (no up-charge) we can arrange to have your boat videoed and display your video on our web site. Of course, you are always welcome to shoot your own video, or if you don’t mind us doing it, as amateur videographers, we will gladly do so!

COSMETICS***LOCATION***CONDITION

Okay….you have passed that emotional decision to put what you have on the market!  There is a whole industry within the Real Estate market of staging property for a more effective and profitable sale.  Staging, relative to yachts, is best described s “Boat Show Condition”.  SESY can help you with this:

First, place her in a location that is a marine center for what you have to sell.  SESY is located at St. Augustine Marine. SAM offers a great venue from dockage/storage to a full service boat yard that can handle anything from a survey to electronics, to canvas and upholstery. 

Secondly, clean her up!  Both, interior and exterior cleaning and maintenance will make her shine. Stage your boat with just enough “props” to give her a polished and cozy appearance. (No, those two are not mutually exclusive!). Give her that boat show feel! 

SESY can help you arrange for cleaning services, exterior compound and waxing of the hull and deck, prep exterior wood and removal of rust stains.  We can quote you here at SESY.  Once you have done this it is important to keep her clean and run the systems once in a while to make sure all is as it should be.  We can handle all of these service needs.

As noted above, SESY is located in a full service marina. In addition to being a certified Hunter Super Service Dealer, we can offer other services such as travel lifts, custom canvas & upholstery, paint, electronic services and many other services.  What a great place to keep your boat while it is for sale, if you don’t have anywhere else to keep her!
